Prakash is a Partner of the firm and has been in practice in Melbourne for over 30 years, a well-established Melbourne lawyer.

A graduate of Arts and Law from Melbourne University, Prakash was admitted as a lawyer in Victoria in 1983. Following this, Prakash gained admission in Fiji and practiced in Fiji for a brief period before returning to Melbourne. Upon his return, Prakash practiced with a Melbourne law firm for a brief period before joining Rossi and Ryan lawyers. In 1998, Prakash became a partner of the inner-city firm which became known as Rossi Ryan & Raniga Lawyers.

The scope of work undertaken by Prakash includes literally hundreds of matters in the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court ranging from complex children’s disputes to multimillion dollar property cases.

Prakash also has extensive experience including successful appeals from VCAT proceedings in the Building List as well as the General Civil List. He estimates he has conducted hundreds of cases in the Federal Court, Supreme Court, County Court and Magistrates Court over the course of his career.

Prakash’s areas of practice include:

  • Family Law, concerning intervention orders, divorces, children and property matters.
  • Conveyancing and Property Law, ranging from residential and business transactions to building and construction disputes.
  • Litigation and Dispute Resolution, in a wide variety of Commercial disputes and breaches of contracts and Civil disputes in VCAT, the Magistrates, County and Supreme Court along with the Federal Court.
  • Wills and Estates, assisting clients in obtaining probates and contested wills
  • Employment and Workplace Relations Law, representing clients at Fair Work Australia for both employers and employees.
  • Criminal Law, acting for the accused/defendant.

  • Member of the family law division of the Australian Law Council
  • Wills and Estates, assisting clients in obtaining probates and contested wills
